Had a pretty crazy busy weekend. This is actually the outfit I wore yesterday to the shops with my mum. Didn’t buy anything in particular but I did get a new mop it is microfiber and cleans really well.
The reason for the hair scarf is due to having an extremely bad hair-day. A scarf or headband always does the trick!
Today we went back to the shops looking for new CD’s at JB HiFi. I got Moby and David Bowie on sale which was really cool! I hardly ever buy CD’s anymore as I usually download music from iTunes but it is really nice to have a real CD again. I still remember when Discmans were all the rage!
Anyway I went to one of the only thrift shops open on Sundays and it was pretty crappy (as always!) However I did get an amazing denim skirt!
I also made some girly cupcakes- recipe is below!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!!
2 cups of self raising flour
3/4 cup of castor sugar
a pinch of salt
140 grams of butter
3/4 cup of milk
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Set oven to 170 degrees for fan forced or 180 degrees for a normal oven
Sift flour, salt and sugar into a mixing bowl mix well
Melt the butter in the microwave and set aside
add vanilla extract to the milk and then add the milk to the dry ingredients
add the eggs to a bowl and whisk well, then add the eggs to the mixture
once the butter has cooled add this to the mixture and stir well. Use an electric mixer or beat well by hand
Put mixture into patty pans evenly and then put into the oven for 20 mins or until golden brown
The finished result!!
