Red and Yellow and a Royal Wedding

Writing this post as I am watching the royal wedding between William and Kate. I love what the Queen is wearing very pretty yellow skirt suit with a pretty yellow hat. I adore the Queen she is just amazing.
Kate’s dress look amazing with stunning lace sleeves and a full skirt- very vintage style. I usually see brides these days wearing slimline dresses which I really don’t like. Give me an adorable full skirt (with a crinoline underneath) any day.

On another note here is the outfit I wore yesterday. I felt like colour after being inspired by my Harper’s Bazaar Magazine.

Colour Trend for 2011

Standing in the rain

This is the outfit I wore to work on Wednesday, the first day back after the nice little Easter break.
Have to admit that I am sooo glad that Monday is a public holiday! This cooler weather (finally) just makes me want to stay in bed with a good book or maybe just my laptop

I am very excited about changing to part time work again from July. I have been on leave from uni for a year now so it will be a bit strange going back considering I am so old now but I am looking forward to it.

I can’t wait to get back into my journalism- it just means everything in the world to me.

Review- The Lookbook

Review is one of my absolute favourite Australian designer brands.

My budget cannot afford full priced Review clothing but they always have amazing sales which is the best time to grab a bargain.

Review for me is like the epitome of my style. It's vintage, girly, romantic and classic all at the same time. I just love it.

I have a lovely dress from Review which I wear all the time it is incredibly versatile and I also have a hot pink skirt which I will be bring out again soon for this seasons colour trend.

Feeling like a maxi

This amazing maxi dress was found during one of my thrifting adventures. I can’t actually remember which thrift store I got this from but I do know it was like a $4 bargain.
I don’t know exactly what era this dress is from but I am guessing 90s as I remember my mum wearing theses types of dresses when I was about 7 or 8 years old.
One of the funniest moments of my mums “maxi dress” phase was when we were all out at the shops in Townsville where I used to live and mum kept on running into this lady who was wearing the same dress as her! Mum tends to get embarrassed when people are wearing the same things as her (it happened again recently!).
Not that I blame her. One of the reasons I prefer to shop vintage or from US or UK retailers is so I (hopefully) won’t run into someone wearing the same dress/top as me. After all it’s good to be unique!
The one time it did happen to me was at a club. A girl wearing the same top as me came up to me (to my horror) and said “awesome top”. So I suppose it wasn’t so bad after all

Zara Opens in Sydney

The first Zara in Sydney opened on April the 19th to a bunch of adoring fans.
This definitely makes me want to go to Sydney now just to check out the beautiful new store packed full of European wonders. I wonder if/when Brisbane will get one? Surely we are posh enough to have one situated in Queens Plaza considering we have a Louis Vuitton, Bally and Tiffany’s store there just to name a few.
I have to say that I feel incredibly inspired by the Australian Autumn/Winter 2011 lookbook.
The colour-blocking themes coupled with leopard print are enough to make me want to consider some more colour in my fairly neutral/floral wardrobe.
If I had to choose just one item below I would probably choose the leopard print blazer.
