Official last day of 2011 so to commemorate a year of blogging I have put together a montage of outfit posts for every month of the year. Hope everyone has a fantastic New Years celebration.

I myself will most probably be doing nothing as I have run out of internet speed so will mostly be working on some more steampunk jewellery for my shop over the next few days.

Will be back on Monday with some more fun inspiration and to announce the winner of the ASOS giveaway.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE

Vintage Cat Brooch

Today I braved the ever crazy shops again to take back some of my previous purchases that I didn’t like too much. I got some really lovely new stuff which I love so I am a happy camper again!

My mum got me this vintage cat brooch for Christmas she did tell me who the maker is but I forget. It is really lovely though and I wish I could have many more cat items.

**TOMORROW IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO ENTER MY ASOS $70 VOUCHER GIVEAWAY!!

Summer 2012 Lookbook: Something Else by Natalie Wood

I love to write about Australian designers as I truly believe that Australia and New Zealand have some of THE best fashion designers in the entire world.
Natalie Wood, the creator of Something Else is no exception and I simply adore some of her clothes that sell at General Pants (not that I can afford them but they are definitely lust-worthy!)
The 2012 summer lookbook campaign below is from the ‘Submerged’ collection and the images definitely portray a sort of submerged and ethereal feeling.
Something Else by Natalie Wood emulates a collective culture that opens ones eyes to the ‘something else’ in our current existence.

How to add a Twitter Facebook Follow Button to every blog post

1

Thought I would do a helpful post as it is so very useful to have a share bar at the top of every blog posts especially one that includes a follow button!

Here’s how to do – share this post if you like it!

1. Go to your blogs DESIGN/LAYOUT and click on the DOWNLOAD FULL TEMPLATE

you must do this to ensure you have a copy of your blog in case anything messes up! Make sure you do this.

1a

2. then click on EDIT HTML then click on EXPAND WIDGET TEMPLATES

2

3. Press CONTROL F to find the following html code-
<div class='post-header-line-1'/> you may need to click twice as it is the second one under the <data: post.title/> (see below)

3

4. Once you have located this add the following code directly underneath this:

<!-- AddThis Button BEGIN -->
<div class='addthis_toolbox addthis_default_style '>
<a class='addthis_button_facebook_like' fb:like:layout='button_count'/>
<a class='addthis_button_tweet'/>
<a class='addthis_button_google_plusone' g:plusone:size='medium'/>
<a class='addthis_counter addthis_pill_style'/>    &#160; &#160;
<a href='
http://www.bloglovin.com/en/blog/2266777/my-modern-vintage' title='my modern vintage on bloglovin'><img alt='Follow My Modern Vintage' src='http://www.bloglovin.com/widget/bilder/en/lank.gif'/></a>
</div>
<script src='
http://s7.addthis.com/js/250/addthis_widget.js#pubid=xa-4e6daba208b6a140' type='text/javascript'/>
<!-- AddThis Button END --> </p> </p>

5. Change the following parts of the code above to your own links!

You will need your bloglovin blog link and also change the blog name- you don’t want your readers following me! Highlighted parts need changing

<!-- AddThis Button BEGIN -->
<div class='addthis_toolbox addthis_default_style '>
<a class='addthis_button_facebook_like' fb:like:layout='button_count'/>
<a class='addthis_button_tweet'/>
<a class='addthis_button_google_plusone' g:plusone:size='medium'/>
<a class='addthis_counter addthis_pill_style'/>    &#160; &#160;
<a href='
http://www.bloglovin.com/en/blog/2266777/my-modern-vintage' title='my modern vintage on bloglovin'><img alt='Follow My Modern Vintage' src='http://www.bloglovin.com/widget/bilder/en/lank.gif'/></a>
</div>
<script src='
http://s7.addthis.com/js/250/addthis_widget.js#pubid=xa-4e6daba208b6a140' type='text/javascript'/>
<!-- AddThis Button END --> </p> </p>

6. It should now look like this:

7. Preview the template and then save the template and you now have a share button at the top of every blog post!

Inspiration Monday: British Bloggers

For some reason I am totally obsessing over UK fashion bloggers right now. They all have such unique quirky style that is entirely British/Irish/Scottish in itself.
I have found so much inspiration from these bloggers so this week’s fashion inspiration post is dedicated entirely to them.
1. A Little Bird Told Me
Totally in love with Jen’s quirky style. She always look effortlessly polished in vintage frocks or skinny jeans and boots. Definitely one of my fave blogs right now

2. This Charming Style
This UK blogger has a style all to her own. She loves to mix prints, wears vintage rock tees with leather and boots and occasionally rocks a pretty dress with creepers or stylish ankle boots. I originally found her on Chictopia and love her attitude and personal style.

3. The Magpie Girl
Vicki is such an inspiration with her funky red hair, cute looks and amazing sense of style. I have only started reading her blog a few weeks ago and I cannot get enough of it. Here are some of her outfits I love.

4. Yours Truly
Kerry is simply one of my fave finds so far her style is lovely with pretty vintage frocks, polka dot tights and cute shoes. She always has amazing photos at her blog as well and I really enjoy reading it and looking at her travels around the UK.
