My first successful hemming of a vintage dress!

{wearing: vintage 90s gingham dress- thrifted, red belt (from another dress), Charter School Cardigan in Charcoal via Modcloth, Rachel Antonoff for Bass Wendybird Loafers via Modcloth}

This little vintage 1990s gingham dress is my very first successful hemming attempt. I was really happy with how this turned out and it has given me more confidence to try hem some other things too!

When I got this dress it was your typical early 90s ankle length (very unflattering) dress. I knew it had so much potential and I am a sucker for anything with a cute gingham print so I had to get it.

It was sitting in my closet for a few weeks before I mustered up the courage to hem it. I am loving the length now and love how it can be styled up or down depending on the occasion.

So next time you are unsure about that dowdy vintage dress- give it a go as it may turn out to be a hidden treasure like this one is!
