My most naughty purchase ever! Got these babies last week via My Chameleon and I just loooove them.  They are made from the most beautiful softest leather ever with the perfect little wooden heels for a nice boost!

I got the Rachel Comey Mars Boots in Caramello which is a rich tan colour that goes with everything. I wore them to work today for the first time and although they are a total bitch to break in I know they will be perfect after a few wears!

What is your most naughty purchase ever??

what i wore: endless wardrobe cardigan

I must say straight up that I wasn’t sure about this cocoon cardigan by Endless Wardrobe to start with. Sometimes things look better online than they actually are in real life.

But when I pulled this beauty out of its express post satchel bag I was utterly impressed. The cardigan is acrylic mix but so incredibly soft and warm you would swear its real wool!

Being beige in colour it pretty much goes with anything like jeans, a maxi skirt or a vintage dress and tights like what I am wearing it with above. But if you like a splash of colour with your outfit Endless Wardrobe also stocks this in red, purple, green, navy and black! I am thinking the red one would fit perfectly into my wardrobe too!

Do you think I should get the red one???

Accessories That Make You Look New

A guest post by Ana Brady

Ever since I don’t see myself as a unit anymore, but more as a 4-member family, it’s been difficult to keep up with the latest fashion trends, sales, special shopping deals, etc. Also, the family budget is a little tight for all those shoes and dresses I’m capable of buying when “unleashed” (with a credit card).

No worries. Luckily, fashion is a huge field of possibilities and creative solutions. I’ve found that I can look absolutely “new” in an old dress and old pair of shoes, only if I have a new detail that attracts attention with its exotic beauty. Also, if it’s something I can make, even better.

Here are a few things I have in my vast collection of jewelry/trinkets/accessories. The one with the bent fork is a present from Cuba. I love how creative they are! They use forks made out of special material that can bend under the candle flame. Then they shape the fork in a certain way, and place a piece of shiny stone inside. The black “necklace” is made out of telephone wire.

I recently bought some trinkets with the intention of making a “gothic” necklace. I’m gonna use black lace, black plastic flower with a little red stone inside, and a keychain that fell off my key (it’s called ankh and represents an Egyptian symbol of life). With some thread and needle, maybe some glue, I’m sure I can put together something worth wearing at least once. :)

My collection of accessories consists of all possible colors, materials, shapes and sizes. It’s really fun combining them with my wardrobe, and the final result is usually very interesting. Amazing how different you can look if you only experiment with make-up, hair, and accessories!

what i wore: kork-ease sandals

Hi friends hope you had a lovely weekend. Mine was pretty relaxing I didn’t get up to much at all which was nice because it was so cold! Pretty much just spent the entire weekend watching Gossip Girl season 5 and have 1 more episode to go!

This outfit is what I wore out yesterday. I wanted to break in my new Kork-Ease sandals but was pretty surprised how comfy they were straight up walking around in them for over 2 hours.

What is everyone doing this week? Do tell!

What i wore: bird print at the nursery

Hi everyone how has your week been?
The other day I went to the nursery where these pic were taken. They have this beautiful little old fashioned garden at the back of the nursery where there is this “fake” old house and a beautiful wooden bridge not to mention things growing everywhere possible!
It is pretty much my dream garden and the best part was my mum and I had it to ourselves so no annoying other people in the pics!
I am wearing my new maxi skirt from Topshop and Bird Print Blouse from my sponsor OASAP. Check out their latest Spring 2012 trends here!

Totally addicted to pinterest

So if you aren’t already obsessed with Pinterest I suggest you get on over there right now!

I am loving it as it is somewhere I can keep all of my favourite items without having to search numerous websites or keep annoying bookmarks. I have to admit that I rarely use tumblr now as I really see no point in it anymore. Any pics I find on tumblr immediately get “pinned” rather than reblogged.

I love using it to collate all of my fave fashion looks at the moment sort of like a virtual “mood board” so cool!

Is anyone else loving Pinterest? Let me know your username so I can follow you! Oh and make sure you come and visit me here!

what i wore: over the knee socks

Today I had a lovely catch up lunch with some old friends. I always find myself so busy it is difficult to find the time to catch up with friends. I pretty much see my family all the time but friends hardly ever.
So I finished another successful blog design over at Vintage Hoots. Go and check it out and let me know what you think if you have time.
Here is a screenshot anyway:

Have a great weekend!

What i wore: 1950’s style

Hi everyone hope you have had an amazing week.

It’s been crazy busy for me but amidst it all I managed to find this lovely dress at a local thrift store. I am fairly sure it is 1980s made but hiding the waist band makes it looks more 50s style.

I will probably be taking this one to a seamstress as I am thinking I want the waist band permanently removed and the button holes need re-sewing. The thing I love most about vintage items is they are not perfect but you can always alter them to suit your needs.

Found any good vintage items lately?
